I recently got a Sony G520 CRT monitor (pic related). It works very good, however, I have two questions:

1. Can I get 240p out of this? I've tried xrandr, but using the mode line supplied by gtf causes the monitor to throw an "out of scan range" error
2. Is there any way to hide scratches on the glass, or is it fucked for life? This monitor has some rather noticeable scratching.
