There's really no good reason to ever use Momo, Garr or Nina outside the scripted events for them. The God-tier party is Ryu, Peco and Rei.

Ryu because you can't not use him. Peco because he's the ultimate tank character. Rei because of his speed and the wanton superiority of heal items over healing spells.
