Bought it back in 2009 or so. I already knew it was rare (it was only released in Japan at a limited press of 10,000 copies).
Paid $60 bucks for it plus shipping, a bit steep but better than the price it's going for now (over 90)

Wow, a bit pretentious there. Not sure if those are "unique", but yes I can list 10 N64 games worth playing that aren't the usual 1st party Mario and Zelda or Rare games.

Granted, most of these are JP-only, but I guess they still count, right? I'm mostly a japanese game collector. I wouldn't use my N64 and Saturn nearly as much if I didn't play imports.
However, if you prefer a more western-flavored list, I'm sure there's enough racing games that were exclusive to the N64 and also pretty good. Or the pro-wrestling games made by AKI (which were commercialized in the west as the WWF licensed titles), are regarded pretty highly by people who like that genre.

Not saying N64 has the best catalogue. It doesn't. And if you hate Nintendo's games (for whatever reason), you're limited to a small catalogue of 3rd party. But yes, there are 3rd party games worth playing on the N64. Shocking, isn't it?
