The way I rolled mine was more caster-heavy than physical:

12 HP/level
3x INT spell points, Blunt Weapons only, bonus to hit Undead (I think?)

Restoration Mysticism Alteration as Primary
Blunt Weapon Medical Thaumaturgy as Major
Pretty sure some roleplay shit like Etiquette and Merchantile as Minors

Mainly used self-heals and buffs through fights (not Regeneration though, that shits broken). I purposely gimped myself on speed because literally every other character I made had 100 speed by endgame. Felt better to have to cast Feet of Notorgo on myself to achieve those ATATATATATATA levels.

Looking back, it's a shame that the "turn undead" spell was such garbage. It was prohibitively expensive to cast and had too low of a success rate to bother. Not even the spellmaker could make it good.
