i remember being vaguely creeped out by the evil smithers from the simpsons arcade game as a kid. think it was just how clearly inaccurate it was to his character, noticeable even at the time. and i think his obsession with maggie gave me subconscious child molester vibes before i knew what sex was

Can we talk about how weird the Arcade game was? Not just the fact that they included the scrapped "Marge is secretly a rabbit" idea or that Smithers was portrayed as an evil kidnapping arsonist, but also why they made a non-action comedy into a 4-playing beat em up
