PW2 was pretty good on its own, but the first game was better in almost every way.
>unique environments like a pirate cove, an amusement park and a Halloween-themed mansion vs generic forest, desert, ice etc
>no on-rails water levels
>actually interesting mazes with unique obstacles in each one
