You raise an interesting question, now that you mention uncommon cars. You've heard of the Yugo, right?

>allegedly an unreliable car that had problems rather frequently, though some people say that people treated it like a disposable car and did no maintentance
>it sold rather well, but most were breaking down or junked
>very few on craigslist
>supposedly they're so uncommon, only one of them is registered in the entire state of Florida
>they're still dirt cheap

I should ask /o/ if the Yugo really was a bad car, or if it was simply an AVGN like stigma popular culture gave it.

Which raises a point; what's the point in learning an ancient, unintuitive, unreadable programming language that was required to program a game to work on specific hardware, but the end result cannot work on that hardware no matter what? Sometimes it's due to emulators being inaccurate, but sometimes the people deliberately break the console's limitations and make the game non-functional on real hardware, defeating the point of programming in binary.

>both games were developed by Japanese teams
>both games were published by Broderbund
>both games are incredibly obtuse and open ended
>there's a good chance that no one will never beat those games without obscene dedication and a guide
>one game is infamous for it's sheer difficulty, the other is more or less a lesser title

You know what the funny thing is? If Twin Snakes was made in this day and age, I can imagine all the 'action scenes' like this using Dubstep music, looking like a montage.

>explicitly mention the NES version of the game
>use the original NES music
>even an orchestrated rendition of the NES version's music
>will not be available on the Wii U

Now that's a slap to the face if I ever saw one. You'd figure they'd put the game on Nintendo's console, since the NES version was very popular, if not MORE popular, than the original game.

Yet another technical feat accomplished by the English. Was it just sheer coincidence, or did England happen to have the best/most intuitive programmers in the video game industry?
