I really love the "manga-panel" style cutscene cut-ins. It's such a nice compromise between visual novel talking heads and sprite puppet shows. The games plot and characters might be simple but being able to see their expressions during scenes adds a lot of character and personality to the whole affair. Wish more games did stuff like that.
