My favorite is still the SNES, but Saturn comes close 2nd.
Comparing the d-pads is hard because they're good in their own ways. Saturn is a circular one and SNES has a defined cross shape, so SNES is more precise, but Saturn allows more freedom on the thumb. Both feel amazing anyway, so I'm not picking one over the other.
Shoulder buttons are good on both too but I prefer the SNES ones, feel a bit more firm and less fragile. I don't hate the clicky nature of the Saturn pads, it feels good to press, and I like their shape and position a lot too, but they feel a bit flimsy.
Face buttons is where I have a bit of a problem with Saturn, the XYZ buttons's bead size and shape make my thumb hurt when playing certain games, especially fighting games. Wish they were the same as the ABC ones which are amazing.
SNES has 2 less face buttons, but they're all comfortable to press, even better on US SNES with the concave-convex.
I don't even thing it's a size problem because the C buttons on N64 controllers are perfectly fine, I guess it's something about the design of the XYZ buttons, or the amount of pressure they need to register idk.
But still, XYZ buttons aside, Saturn is GOAT and imo only 2nd to SNES.
Genesis model 2 could also share a 2nd place with Saturn as it's mostly very similar.

Same here.
The US SNES is pretty underrated as of late. Very nice aesthetics all around, the purple/light purple color scheme is really tasteful.
In a way, it reminds me of Freeza.

Holy shit, my sister has been stuck on Vanilla Dome 3 for weeks now. I can't intervene, she has to find out what she's made of on her own.
