I don't think they really failed in the long run. They still have it much better than Atari and NEC/Hudson Soft. They still made some great games as a third party.

What are your current favorite games? Adventure, platforming, and RPG is too broad. Do you prefer 2D or 3D?

If you don't like Sonic, maybe try some of Sonic Team's other games, like Ristar, NiGHTS Into Dreams, or Billy Hatcher. Super Monkey Ball also contains some elements of Sonic while being a completely different type of game by a different studio. Trying to keep this list short since I'm kind of a big SEGA fan and could probably spend hours recommending games across various SEGA consoles. I will say you shouldn't limit yourself to only three genres.

Well no because it's the wrong emblem

But yeah. I prefer the seal over the weird logo SEGA CD got. I consider it to be the Genesis/SCD/32X's "symbol" like how Saturn got the sphere and Dreamcast got the swirl, even though the seal was also used for Game Gear and a few Saturn games.

Definitely the last great year for video games, especially SEGA and Pokemon. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted
