I've never been much interested in a game series, but this got me curious. Maybe I'll have to try that game sometime

Don't get why people watch streamers who don't even commentate.
To answer your question it's most likely something mod specific or just nashgore with some of the sliders turned down.

What port are you using? In GZDoom hit tilde, the key to left of 1 on your keyboard, and then type "map mapXX" where XX is the map number. If you're in PrBoom+ or chocolate-doom, just type idclevXX anywhere, much like the idkfa cheat. Again, replace XX with the map number. If you're in a mapset that uses episodes, like anything for Doom 1, then the command changes a bit.
Again, get to the console in GZDoom by hitting tilde, and then type "map eXmYY" where X is the episode number and YY is the actual map. To use the idclev cheat type "idclev XY", where, again, X is the episode number and Y is the map number.
Protip: in GZDoom use listmaps in the console to list all maps with their names. It will also tell you what wad everything is from.
