/vr/ - Retro Games

So an ex of mine had given me a stack of SNES games for my birthday a few years ago, some classics like Primal rage and some...not so classics like ultraman. Fast forward a few years and I over hear a few guys in a used game shop talking about haw Megaman 7 sells for close to $100 for just the cart. Megaman 7 was in the stack of games she gave me. Does it really go for that much and if so....why?

>divorced parents
>somehow get a pirated megaman x game in japanese
>dad comes to play megaman x
>he ended up staying the whole day and night with me playing that game
>best vidya related memory I have

>4~ years later
>dad wants to spend the day with me playing megaman 7
>go to bluckbuster to rent it
>they rented it earlier
>dad gets pissed
>ask him if we can get mortal kombat II
>he doesn't like that game
>rent it anyways
>get home, star playing
>dad doesn't want to play
>gets a call from his wife
>he leaves
>my mom starts shouting
>"you never spend time with him!"
>I'm still playing MKII in my room
>dad finally leaves
>shut down my snes
>don't play MKII never again
>hate every MK game ever since

Still, megaman x is my favorite game of all time
