Even HD has the 'zoom' button that steadies your aim sensitivity, mirroring the same idea and is largely optional. It does not feel necessary as it would in a 7th generation shooter. That's how I'd want any "ads" addition to be: Largely optional and still feels great to shoot without having to use it. Smod here is like that and it feels pretty good.
Also, to be fair, there's lots more going on in games like HD and similar mods.
