This game takes a negative amount of skill and there is no way to fail it. It's an actual time waste simulator for annoyed parents who want to keep their kids busy. Everything you must do in this game is obvious

I still think it looks incredible for the tech it was produced for. And even games I thought looked terrible back then like Megaman Legends won me over the years when I got into art and animation myself and realized how crazy well put together those cutscenes were. I was comparing the intro animation of Tiny Tiger in the original Crash 2, and the level of expressiveness his face has is downright superior to the one in the remake. Context does matter a whole lot, and old aesthetics have their own art to themselves. It's one of the reasons PSX style graphics have made a weird comeback lately.

You know the one game that I came back to after a while only for it to look much worse than I remembered? Sonic Adventure. I don't know why that's the one lmao

Glad you discovered and appreciated them, anon. 1 has so many cool details, Kattelox Island is one of my favorite hubworlds in any videogame. Wish 2's islands were a little more fleshed up and the Water Temple was not such a slog, but the combat was great, and the dungeons were a step in the right direction. Both have an incredible soundtrack and possibly the most impressive 5th gen cutscenes ever, it's directed like a 90s OVA with some tasty Ghibli inspiration in the settings, and those sprite-based expressions on the models, heck, they even got a charming as fuck 90s anime quality dub in the west. The look and sound of these games is just immortal, and with just a little push, the gameplay could have been as well.

Shame 3 was Capcomed, fuck now I'm sad.

Maybe he's trying to stir the pot, maybe there's a specfic buzzword he dislikes, maybe just trying to be ironic via transparent hipocrysy, who knows. Anyways, you're all buzzword spamming faggots whose posts read like automated templates or madman wall scribbles after seeing them over and over and over in every damn threadand social media post.

Megaman Legends is commonly compared to Ocarina of Time in that they're both semi-open action-adventure games. Megaman Legends 1 has you exploring one large island while spelunking in underground ruins for your dungeons. Legends 2 sacrifices having one detailed locations for being able to travel around the world to different islands and locales, trading interconnected ruins for more traditionally designed dungeons. You have a world map instead of hub world like Hyrule or Termina Field for Legends 2, though.

People tend to prefer the former as you're exploring a cohesive location that has a lot to do and see over the course of the game, but 2 has more diversity in location and dungeon design. Although the water dungeon lagging and turning the game unbearably slow tends to sour people on it. Features a surprisingly large draw distance for a third-person PS1 game which always kinda stuck out to me. I'd imagine everybody already knows about Legends but I just wanted to shill it.
