It drives me absolutely insane when people will shit on a game for not having optional side quests or endings because it doesn't add to the "replay" value. The only replay value that should matter is if the game is enjoyable enough to make you wanna play it again, no amount of endings, side quests, costumes, etc will make someone play a game again if it's not fun.

The only way a game can actually age is if it was revolved entirely around some stupid fad that was popular at the time. There is no way a game from the 1980s would magically turn to shit for someone who never played a video game before and happened to pick one from that era out as their first one despite it being 2015. People who claim a game "aged" poorly are just looking for an excuse to shit on an older game that is considered good without listing any actual reasons.
