have you tried it on a different source?

you made sure the signal cable is intact and all the pins are straight?


I had a similar problem with my 27 inch Sony wega, the entire left side of the screen was extremely blurry. making it basically impossible to play some games.

it was probably an IC chip problem, but I didn't have any confidence to open it up and I was a lot younger back so I just gave it to the Salvation Army. they probably had somebody who could fix it.

unless there some type of focus adjustments you can make ( either in the service menu or inside the case) I don't think there's really much you can do besides try to find a new unit, or find a repair technician nearby still willing to work on CRTs.
