i haven't missed a Xenogears thread since this board was created. i posted a lot of the pictures you guys are using. i wish i could stay and chat longer but i have work every day. it's too bad considering the amount of misinformation that gets spread about the xeno games

all the events of episodes 2-5 are given to us in-game. it would be a neat romhack if it were possible, but all the key events are already known.

This is true because Urobulos was broken, but due to the way things are structured, the Anima and Animus would still be around. who knows, maybe they could resemble Fei and Elly in an Episode VI

in terms of gameplay Xenogears is below-average.
the platforming elements could have been done better and there are many bugs with the battle/equipment/stat effects. there's strong evidence of the game being unfinished.
The game could have been more, but it still has a great story and a great way of telling it. the music and atmosphere of the game complement each other very nicely
it suffers from an unfortunate translation and a poorly synced english dub. you'll also have to read the Perfect Works if you want to fully understand the backstory. you'll probably even have to playthrough the game itself multiple times to know what's really going on

every xeno thread i like to remind everyone that there is absolutely no evidence supporting the rumors of FF stealing resources or the higher ups of SquareSoft cutting the budget. it's likely, but i'd like a source on that. it's probably more likely that they just had time constraints and had to give them something or nothing

i love Xenosaga. i think it's a must play if you are interested in understanding more about xenogears. i also think it does many things better.

i dont think that there are many loose ends left in xenosaga. given the circumstances they had to deliver a product that deviated from their original visions, but it was still pretty damned good. the ending being a major cliffhanger is what sticks out to me, but i suspect that this was a necessary step. you can fill in the gaps yourself
