So, I just rewatched the 2006 Silent Hill movie.
As a standalone movie, it's really decent. It nails the "look and feel" of the first game and has little regard for conventions.
As a game adaptation, it's dubious. It's basically the first game, except for the whole third act, with some elements from the second game thrown in just for laughs. When Rose arrives in Silent Hill it's basically a 1:1 citation of the first game's start, right up to getting attacked by the small shits.
Getting rid of the cult and instead having the baddies be a bunch of religious fanatics (as if cults are NOT religious fanatics) was really unnecessary.
At least the original music gave me a warm nostalgic feel.

Also, I would motorboat these puppies for hours. Shame they gave her this bulldyke cut.
