it has some cool setpieces though like the hospital and the amusement park, and I'd argue it actually has the best survival horror gameplay in the series, at least when it comes to resource management. Although I've heard of people who have beaten the game with just melee, so I dunno.

Also the visuals. Maybe they don't mean much nowadays, but damn. I played the game this year and there were parts where I couldn't believe it was a fucking PS2 game. Just what kind of magic was Konami playing with at the time?
