3 - You just cant go wrong with Nemmie, shares my all time fav ps1 title with MGS.
Perfect combination of scary, action and difficulty for my taste (the first few playthroughs)
Only complaint is it should have had a Nightmare mode. That whould have been ridiculously awsome.

1 - Even tho the voice acting is hysterical, there is some magic going on here. The atmosphere is amazing and the plot for the scenario is simple, as it should be.

C:V - I want to love this, but the developers must have been burnt out on crack when they made it. The story and dialog is completely garbage, they're retcon'ing and why the fuck all the matrix shit. I love the gameplay tho, great music and nice graphics. Torn on if I feel this is a part of the series, really.

2 - This I didn't like. There are some great things about it, like the music, town and the station. But it doesn't hold up to me.

First off, I dont like the characters. They're so over the top, and I didnt think the little girl stuff was believable.
"Mr X" is so fucking boring, he just walks after you until the end.
The whole G-virus thing is also too ridiculous also, and the lab is waaay to grand.

But my biggest complain is how fucking easy it is. There is no struggles and you get rained down with health and ammo. I didn't even die fucking ONCE on first replay 10-15 years after. (played it a single time as a kid in 98)

These are the ones I consider Resident Evil, won't comment on the rest.

Per NESfag's advice some time ago tho, I will have to give RE2 Nightmare a go on dreamcast whenever I get a hold of one.
