It arrived in one piece and I'm pretty happy with it. Has a problem with the power button though. Instead of powering off it just resets the TV like 9/10 times. I can't seem to change it by pressing the button any differently. Just seems to do what it wants, and when it powers back on I manually have to crank the contrast as it resets to 0. Anybody know what this is? More likely a mechanical problem or bad capacitors? I figure getting a remote could be a good workaround.
Also how necessary is a recap? I've got some wavy geometry on the right side. It's not horrible and I can live with it but it won't kick the bucket soon because of some old 1980s caps will it?
