Not retro but I suggest Dark Spire for anyone who is a fan of these games. Essentially Wizardry made by a bunch of westaboos. Great art and music, even has a retro mode that makes the game look and sound like an older version of wizardry.

Thanks guys. I was always kind of put off these older dungeon crawlers because of things like that one guy posted for Wizardry IV but I really love SMT so I guess I just need to deal with the bullshit to come. Recently I started up Dark Spire, a first person dungeon crawler on ds and pic related, and it's really damn great. The art and music is phenomenal and it even has a retro mode to look like the early Wizardry games. Highly recommend it.

Not retro but for anyone who enjoys classic dungeon crawlers I absoluty can't suggest The Dark Spire enough. Great art, music, and style that celebrates classic dungeon crawlers. It even has a classic mode that make it look like a classic dungeon crawler like the OP.

The closest thing to a flaw is that if you want a physical copy it will cost you about $60-70. But emulation exists so I suggest just doing that.

Dark Spire is best game on NDS!
