Yeah I might take an office lamp from work (we literally have dozens of them in a warehouse space for people to take home since we switched to WFH) and just put a nice, soft, high CRI bulb in it

or yeah alternatively I might grab one of those philips hue bars
it's a little faggoty imo to have the colored lights on the wall but if i dont want to "feature" the light, I could easily hide this and it's probably the most flexible option
