They had big plans for Crash 'n' the Boys, not just Ice Hockey, but the second Soccer game, and the Baseball game on SNES too.
But Street Challenge completely tanked, not too hard to imagine why either.

Oh I know RCR wasn't exactly this run away success or anything, but it was still a known game, and it certainly would've did better than trying to reinvent the IP... again.
