SH1 has gore everywhere, like the corpses and blood absolutely everywhere. Feels to me like the rest of the series toned down in comparison.

It's funny how SH fanboys tend to have this idolazed version of Silent Hill like it's this "deep" game that does things differently, meanwhile SH1 is full of gore, full of cheap scares, and everything you need to know about the story is outright told to the player in a pure "exposition" manner, like when Harry says to Cibil (= to the player) that this hole a child's nightmare come to life, something he manages to figure out even if the player doesn't read all the clues.
