Facing the wrong way around a corner, wasting four shells right out the bat, not killing anything with the tommy gun, and having to rely on an enemy's dynamite is playing like "someone with a lot of experience"? Running around in a circle aiming poorly at cardboard cutouts isn't terribly complicated rocket science or exemplary "shootan skills".
That said, Blood isn't designed to be as casual or easy going as Shadow Warrior and that's kind of the point.

Thankfully there's a box of flares right there, enough to kill the three enemies in each room to the side, one of which has 8 shells and the other a medkit.
