I completely disagree on Shantae though. I think that series has been getting better and better... at least aesthetically. The gameplay has never been great. I feel we've had this exact conversation about the series though.

I suppose opinions differ... I wasn't a huge fan of Risky's Revenge, but think Pirate's Curse is a gorgeous game and there's a ton of detail in the sprites. Graphics and seeing what was next is the only thing that kept me playing though, I can see if you didn't like the look of the game then it wouldn't have anything for you at all.
