Since I take it you don't really need anything super special, you can just use Doomseeker's IRC.

If you want it to autostart IRC, then go check out the IRC options and check (as in set) a box on the "Zandronum" network.

And then you could try editing it and seeing if "#vr vrtroopers" would work.
