When tackling a decompilation project, you also need to think about which release to tackle.

There's the Japanese version called Magical Hoppers for example. Although it has a different visual appearance, the core game is the same, but there could be other significant changes like refactored program or bug fixes.
There was also a Platinum US release a year later, so that might have the same fixes.
All depends on what they produced and what dumps are available really.
