No one was talking about I and II, which are among the best versions those games ever had. Talking specifically about -IV- here, which was shat out the door after III went unreleased for unknown reasons (rumor has it they either lost the original source code or Square sensed Wonderswan was failing).

It wasn't on the PS1 because the WSC remake was mysteriously never finished. The PS1 versions of the first two games used the WSC remakes as base which is presumingly what FFIII would have used.

Agreed though. Pretty sad they never completed the Nintendo > Sony transition of the first six games on the PS1.
