Some quite interesting games, but their ports were absolutely abysmal. Try playing any of their Amiga ports (even the board/card games). If you'd made a list of the worst ports for the Amiga the Sierra games would be in the top 10.

They just couldn't code for shit for anything other than DOS PCs back then. The ports were an unoptimized mess (thanks to the awful SCI engine they used for most of their games). Especially the Amiga ports still used that fugly EGA color palette despite providing better graphical capabilities and still run like molasses despite the poor graphics. Yes, even the board and card games like Hoyle's Book of Games run terrible slow and also were buggy as fuck.

I tried to play the Amiga ports of the Sierra games back in the day.

Damn, Sierra did the worst ports on the whole system. They even "ported" over the butt-ugly EGA color palette, despite that the Amiga had better graphic capabilities. And the games also run like ass on the system. Pretty much every single port of the Sierra games run like molasses on the Amiga, even the Hoyle Card games.

> I never denied that. You mentioned ports, I just said Amiga had a big portion of Sierra games.

Too bad that most of the Sierra ports for the Amiga were done extremely lazy. Kings Quest, Police Quest, heck even the Hoyle's board/card game series were ported extremely poorly and I would say even amateurish. Early King's Quest games even used the butt ugly CGA color palette of the PC almost without any changes on the Amiga, but still run slow as molasses, despite being ported to an (at the time) much more capable hardware. And of course they didn't even utilize the Amiga's sound capabilities.
