Well I'm >>8393028 so I will tell you what it was like back then. We japanophiles liked all these JRPGs and most of us didn't faun over Chrono Trigger but know it's supposed to be a bid deal. We had so many games that Square projects were kinda like toyota cars, good but ultimately bland. When the sequel came out we were expecting A BIG PRODUCTION, like when FF7 and Grandia came out it was like wwwwwwwaaaaaaaattttttt. Instead we were looking not the most avante garde models and enviroments, and a total debauchery of Chrono Trigger. All of use who played the game got to THAT FUCKING SCENE where our heroes from Trigger come in and say "well you're gay and everything is a simulation"
