I never understood the argument that it's disruptive because I personally don't autistically read name/trip fields. The only time I even realize someone is using a trip is if it is explicitly pointed out, usually by bitching about it.

Maybe it's just because I use Tomorrow that it never stands out to me.

It feels as if the real problems, desperate attention whoring and pretensions of subject mastery, are behaviors ignored unless they have a trip.

Babbage is a perfect example and if he took his trip off it would require more effort to ignore him than simply blocking his name/trip.

In conclusion, tripfags are ultimately good because they can be toxic people but give you the option of never having to see or interact with them again, as opposed to anonymous cunts.
