I ordered a 15 dollar vga to s-video converter box. The games look amazing. I don't know all the technical reasons why.

The backgrounds in RE2 look incredibly crisp. The 3D games, even at native resolution are very nice looking. It's so amazing. I highly, highly recommend this. The motion is really smooth as well. Don't try to use digital displays and try to use shaders to fix it. They'll turn out blurry.

Images of CRTs are really hard to do right.
