>Sonic 1 & 2
Really fun, completely different to the Megadrive games, with sick soundtracks - the first was done by Yuzo Koshiro. Inexpensive too.

>The Ninja
Vertical run'n'gun that's hugely satisfying to play, and has quite a unique feudal Japan setting. It costs literal pennies to buy - hidden-in-plain-sight gem.

>R-Type
Great conversion, looks, sounds and plays superbly, probably the best original R-Type experience you can get without having to spend big.

>Wonder Boy 3
Essential. There's a PS4/Switch remake, but nothing beats the atmosphere of the original. Brilliant intro, and it's amazing just how much they managed to cram into an SMS cartridge.

>Phantasy Star
Still holds up REALLY well, looks and sounds great (3D dungeons!) and a real kick in the pants if you're used to modern RPGs. A bit expensive, but an original cartridge usually has old saved games, which is oddly touching - mine had one just before the last boss, and another where they had someone got lost halfway through the game with barely any equipment.

Well bros, the time has come. I'm going sailing for 4 months and plan on selling my retro collection to fund my trip. What's a fair price. Not too cheap that it would attract resellers, but no Ebay prices.

Can we talk about the major impact Sega had in the hip-hop community in the early 90s?
>Michael Jackson's hip-hop collaboration tracks were low-key featured on Sonic 3's OST.
>Kriss Kross's "Make-My-Video" for SegaCD
>"Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, when I was dead broke man I couldn't picture this" -B.I.G.
>NBA Jam
>every Knuckles the Echidna stage's music
>Shaquille O'Neal's Shaq Fu was realeased at the highlight of his Hip-Hop and NBA Career.
At what point did Sega stop appealing to urban America? It was dope. Fuck I love Sega.
