My biggest problem with these games is (on top of the hipster pretension) is the music. They can never get 8bit music right. To them, 8bit means putting a techno beat or trying to emulate bad indie rock. Real 8bit music is diverse skipping around the rocking numbers, classical, older styles of dance music like waltzes and mazurkas or intense techno. When some fucking art student think they can make 8bit music, it will just sound like shit.
