They're especially butthurt about this game, sonyggers because their console had crappy hardware unable to play shooters well, and PCniggers because the game actually innovated, moving beyond "find the keys, kill everything and press the exit switch" that is all they had back then.

So, I looked it up and apparently, it's true that Goldeneye was responsible to moving the FPS genre from Doom-style "find the keys and go to exit" gameplay to something more realistic.
