2 and 3 are also excellent, though have a bit more emphasis on interacting with NPCs and side missions to collect stuff with, which is something some people apparently really dislike compared the first game being straight-forward platforming and collecting. And yes, both sequels have flight levels.

All of the first Spyro's tracks were great (which isn't to say the ones in 2 or 3 were bad) and pretty damn comfy as well. Watch >>1097705 if you haven't seen it already.

Personal favorite track that I can recall was Lofty Castle

I would have to say Haunted Towers for me from the first game. Was the last stage I had to complete, it was the super charge spot.
