There are no outright bad mainline retro RE games BUT

masterpiece, I like it a tiny bit better than REmake but still less than the first two games

It was a beautiful game in every sense and still stands among the best. The start of a wonderful series that gave us some of gaming's finest. Modern gamers don't care about the /vr/ classics because of the remakes but as long as people like us remember, true Resident Evil will live on. I haven't been sleeping well and feeling kinda funny so I felt like writing this post lmao

Resident Evil is a weird series when all of the games from 7 onwards are objectively better than 5,6 and Rev 1/2 which were pretty shitty and yet I prefer the shitty ones, especially 5 which I actually enjoy a lot. I feel like the series lost its distinct charm (I call it 'the Resident Evil feel' lmao) when they switched to RE engine and started hiring western writers, it just doesn't feel the same anymore. Sorry for not retro
