Definitely the nes version.

This is where Nobuo Uematsu finally nailed down the music. Hell, the overworld of the Ds version quickly got on my nerve when i played it. But the Nes version just sound like a big adventure in front of you.

It's just feel right on the Nes version compared to the Ds.
