You can't no death Gunstar Heroes on the highest difficulty or 1CC Radiant Silvergun. Opinion discarded.

Homing + fire. Switch to laser + fire at some point before the shmup level as it makes it significantly easier, but then return to homing + fire for the rest of the game.

Fixed with homing + fire is the best combination in the game. Laser + fire is fun too and I use it for the shmup level.
