Someone with actual knowledge of cameras would be much better qualified to answer that, as my noisy-ass photos are all done with an extremely cheap point'n'shoot. This is particularly noisy, as I needed to push the ISO setting up to 200 from 64 to properly capture both sets at the same time without catching the beam shadow.
That said, the equivalent to "macro" on said camera gives the clearest and best photos for my purposes.
I really want to get a better camera, this one can't even focus at its default position and shuts down if you zoom too far to get it to actually focus.

Need to figure out what's up with the 14M2. The entire screen has discoloration seemingly from magnetism; Flipping it on it's head doesn't even solve it now. Not like I have enough cables to chain it as well, but still.
