This whole thing is a comedy. The story of how it got made is just laughable.

Do any of you guys have personal experiences with those infamous games like Action 52, Bubsy 3D, E.T., Superman 64 and the likes of those? Did any of you anons actually play some of those games back in the day or recently try them out of morbid curiosity? What were your thoughts on them?

/vr/ is now the development team of Action 52.
You only have two months to create 52 "new and original" games.

The 51 first posts ending in odds will make it to the final cartridge.

Once all 51 main games are selected, the next post ending in dubs will determine the 52nd game, the pinnacle of action gaming.

Hey /vr/ I was born in the millennium but I am a huge retrofag. So I was wondering where does /vr/ usually go for retro game hunting?

Façade is the worst game I ever played, I think I've never been so bored with any game. it was unresponsive, you were powerless and it wasn't interesting at all, how the fuck are you going to have any fucking fun watching a couple argue in front of you?

but that isn't retro

worst game I played is, undoubtly, Action 52
And I love it
and I keep playing it from time to time, it is so bad I fucking love it and I love to play it just so that I can laugh at how bad it is. I even finished some of the games inside it, but god damn, it is atrocious and I like it for it

Hey, /vr/ recently saw this game at my pawnshop for $250. Wondering if that a fair price. I'm kinda surprised they had one I live in smallest part of canada but they usually have odd and rare shit that no one buys because no one cares around here.

This is not even up for debate. In terms of retro games, Action 52 on the NES is the worst.

>Cost over 199$ when it first came out
>Is even more expensive now
>52 games, not a single one of them even remotely playable. Each and every one is literally unfinished and glitchy beyond comparison. A good chunk of them don't even work.
>Defective carts that overheat while in use.

All other games mentioned here are exceedingly better than Action 52. Literally the only good thing that came from it was a pretty catchy song.

One night I got together with a couple of friends and we played every stupid game on this cartridge. We even came pretty close to beating Cheetahmen.

The jumping controls are broken is almost all of the platformers. The shmups are all really boring (there's also one where you die in literally the first second if you don't dodge to the right immediately).

My favorites from the cartridge are Cheetahmen, of course; Haunted Hill, which has non-broken jumping controls; and Firebreather, a really silly multiplayer game that I hope to organize a tournament for someday.
