I should mention that the intent behind these was also primarily to have a more easily pocketable device as well as solving the accidental contact issue. The analogs stick out a bit awkwardly when pocketed.

While the d-pad position is less of an issue than I thought it would be because the d-pad is actually really good and the position isn't as uncomfortable as I was expecting, if the position is a dealbreaker you can also keep an eye out for the Pocket Go 2, which is kinda ugly and not out yet but has a dominant d-pad and identical hardware save for the lack of a right analog and potentially lower build quality. I'm borderline shill levels of happy with my 350 for what it is since it surprised me with its not-cheapness but it's good to keep options on the table. A 2DS is also a good cheap option, I just don't use one because I hate the ergonomics of the thing.
