Well, I'm back. Here's where I lost last night.

For those who don't know, I'm playing Super Star Soldier, a schmup. I'm on the final level. Said final level is a boss rush. Level breakdown, combed from in-game knowledge and the instruction booklet I downloaded:

>Wave of enemies, several power-ups
>3 Consecutive bosses from older levels
>Another wave of enemies, lots more power-ups
>More bosses from older levels
>Maybe another wave of enemies (Unsure, never gotten this far)
>2 New bosses I've never faced

the advantage is that I've faced the bosses before, and they're exactly the same,so they're beatable. Even level' 4's boss which robed me of 5 lives the 1st time around (I'm slowly learning his complete pattern).

The problem is, if you don't have that ability to re-spawn from where you die, you go back to the start of the level, losing all progress. And that ability is somewhat rare unless you work for it, as it requires you to shoot at a certain type of power-up until it changes.

They make up for lack of predictability with sheer numbers of enemies. I got surrounded and hammered with no way to avoid death, so back to the start for me. Continues are infinite, so chances are I'll just throw myself t this for ages until I've got the stage memorized
