The thing with HOD is that it tries to fix all the flaws of COTM, but it brings its own set of flaws in the process:

>COTM is too dark!
>make everything so bright in HOD that it hurts the colours, add a glow around the protag that everyone hates

>the entirety of COTM's game system is based on enemy item drops!
>add a shop; but hey, why not make it cryptic as fuck? Also let's still not allow to player to sell what he has several of, who would want that.
>also 99% of enemy drops in HOD are stuff which is inferior to what you could previously find or buy at the moment you meet the enemy for the first time; making item drops almost completely worthless

>navigation is a chore in COTM, everything is huge and you have to double tap run all the time!
>add quick dashes that you can spam in both directions. But now that makes dodging every attack trivial.
