That's a different pattern. The one you said was symmetrical is before the mid-boss. Pic related.

The one you posted is at the start of the level, after clearing the popcorn and only having the turret on the screen it will make a symmetrical pattern for 1-2seconds. The rest of the stage is nothing like that.
