/vr/ - Retro Games

Just got the magic carpet in VI, after winning the fashion contest. Been super busy the last few days so I haven't played much, can't really remember what to do from there (other than try to find the pieces of armor).

Also, is Terry supposed to join the party at a specific point in the game? I feel like I'm pretty far into the game and wondering if I missed a sidequest to recruit him.

You're either a really bored troll or you're new here. DQ threads have always ventured into games past the cutoff date and been tolerated. I've been visiting /vr/ since it first started and that's just how it's been. The bulk of the franchise is retro (and rooted in retro gameplay), so it seems mods turn a blind eye as long as the non-retro stuff doesn't get out of hand. And this is pretty true for a lot of retro franchise threads on /vr/, unless moderation has changed.

Discussion should take priority over arbitrary rule-enforcement, and if the moderation gets spergy about rules, I have no problem going somewhere with better discussion. Especially when "true retro" shitpost threads stay up while decent "borderline retro" threads digress into arguments with the rule gestapo. The biggest irony about you posters is that your meta-thread whining is more off-topic than anything else. If you see a rule violation, all you should to do is report the post.
