nta but I did play it on PS2, PC & 360 and it looked bad on the PS2 via SCART.
I redownloaded to check out of curiosity and I guess thanks to interlacing, native it runs at 512x448 or 288p so yeah, it's closer to PS1 and through the power of raw autism and memberberries I have recreated how the game looked on me mums old 28" JVC that was passed down to me after I got her the 32" samsung flat screen she wanted for her birthday and was KIA by a delivery driver when I moved.
Done via screencapping the native game at 288p then pushed through a shader to a window that's 29" large on my current TV.
I ended up playing it more on PC since I still had my CRT monitor I still use today and that support up to 1280x1024 and did run in 4:3.

To link this back to anons 3x screenshot, yes it does look that bad at 3x but the scaling's off there as it's trying to scale the 8:7 resolution and not 16:9 so instead of the 864p you'd expect they're getting 392p a 36% increase in resolution from the PS2, it's a very dirty scale. Probably something to do with the emulator (android?) they're using, as the 3x scale should be showing in their info 1536x1344 for 854p.

There's probably a patch that fixes it or you need to bruteforce it.
