Just finished it. Its really really good all in all, the levels felt big and lived in, pacing was also well done. Combat was fun, even if im not sure why the shockwave gun and the alien weapon were so useless.
The final two bosses were sorta underpowered, the T-rex didnt even scratch me and i nuked the campaigner with the Chronoscepter, but I guess that is the intended way to kill him since you are spending the entire game building that weapon up.

My verdict is that its leagues better than Quake 1 and can stand by the good build engine titles without shame.Onwards to the second one.

Oh, so its in gameplay settings and not in graphics. In hindsight that makes sense but having checked it, it was turned off by default in the pirated GoG version I have.
